Best Outdoor Toys For Kids 2017

So, Summer is well and truly here. That only means one thing in kid universe; playing outside! I’ve compiled a list of the best outdoor toys for Summer 2017 that will keep your kids busy and active in the garden this Summer.

Sports Sets

Suitable for the garden or the park, there are loads of sports sets out there for your kids to enjoy this Summer. They’re always relatively cheap too! Just to name a few sets I’ve come across this Summer; rounders, cricket, bowls, that ball set with the velcro (you know it!), even badminton. You can usually pick them up in your local supermarket or even pound shop. It’s such a quick, cheap way to get your kids outside and having fun.

Water Sprinkler

If your children are getting older and are so over paddling pools this Summer, how about a sprinkler system to keep them cool and entertained? Lots of fun for children and dogs! The dinosaur pictured is the “Happy Dino Water Sprinkler by Intex at £12.99.

Skate Ramp

Suitable for skateboards, bikes and even scooters, if your child fancies themselves as the next Tony Hawk, they’ll love a skate ramp to play with. Just don’t forget the helmet!

It’s a classic, but it’s still a favourite for a very good reason! Who didn’t love Swingball as a kid? This one is pretty self explanatory as I’m sure most parents had one of these in their back yard at some point when they were kids. But still, I’m glad it still holds relevance in 2017 as it gets your kids outside and active!

Trampolines are pretty much a standard in most gardens nowadays, but if you haven’t already got your kids one, you should! It keeps them busy, active and entertained for way longer than you think it would! Good, safe outdoor trampolines for your kids seem a little pricey, usually around the one to two hundred mark. But if you think of it as an investment for many Summer’s to come rather than a big chunk of money gone, it makes the decision to get one easier! It gets your kids outside and moving during the Summer holidays rather than sitting inside playing video games which is a huge plus in my opinion.

Here’s an affordable 6ft trampoline for only £79.99. They don’t have to break the bank!

Football Goals

Hot favourite in my house at the minute. Your kids can play alone or together, hopefully nicely (Hey, we can dream, right?)! There’s lots of fun in the sun to be had whilst playing footy!

Climbing Frame/Playset

Okay, this is like, the ULTIMATE in outdoor toys. These things don’t usually come cheap and they’re a big investment but, wow. So much fun for your kids. It’s like their own personal playground in their own home. I always wanted one as a kid, I’m actually jealous of my kids for having one sometimes! But yeah, the cost of these sets are no joke. It’s not something to go into lightly, especially if you have play parks near your home. If your kids don’t get out too much or there’s not much for them to do outside the house, you might want to think of buying one of these for your garden!
