Octopotty Review – Toddler Potty Training

Our little ones are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a potty nowadays. Here’s our Octopotty review;

Octopotty Review – Features

It’s bright and looks like a cartoon-ish octopus. It has a toilet roll holder to provide your toddler with the feeling of their very own personal bathroom. The potty chamber isn’t welded down to the actual potty to make for easy disposal. The top of the Octopotty is actually a lid for the potty, so it looks more like cute storage or a toy when it’s not in use.

Octopotty comes in blue, pink or green.

Octopotty Review

We were really struggling with potty training our 2 year old, getting her interested in starting was a nightmare. After buying 2 basic store bought potties, I decided to let her choose a “special” potty. She chose the Octopotty in green.

The Octopotty is nice, though a tad on the expensive side for a potty, but I really wanted to get things moving with training so I thought why not. The toilet roll holder is a nice touch, but we don’t actually use it. Letting my crazy 2 year old loose with her own personal toilet roll just didn’t sound appealing for me.

I really like how easy it is to dispose of the waste and clean, the pan bit of the potty is always loose so you can just pick it up and do it easily rather than taking the whole potty. However, this feature can also be quite annoying as the toddler can pick it up as well. Thankfully, my daughter hasn’t picked it up when there has been wee or poo in the potty, but she does play with it when it’s empty and use it as storage.

My daughter is really comfortable on it, she can sit down and stand up from it with ease. She really likes how it looks and actually asks to use it now instead of her nappy, which is essentially all I wanted!

Octopotty Review – Final Thought

If you’ve got the spare cash and want to splash out on a potty for your little one, it might be worth it for you guys. It was for us. It’s a comfortable, sturdy potty with a cute design that’s easy to clean. Perfect for us at least!
