Run Around Gaston Review Visuals
The design is true to the show, both Gaston and Ben look exactly like they do on the TV! The size is great for little ones too, about the size of an adult hand. Our run around Gaston has had a few knocks and scrapes and still looks as good as the day we got it. We got it second hand too, so who knows how much prior playing it had experienced as well. There’s no nicks in the paint or scratches, so it’s durable.
Dimensions; 9 x 17 x 18 cm
Run Around Gaston Review Features
Press down on Ben to make Gaston move all over the place. He moves in random directions; backwards, forwards and can turn as well. Gaston’s wings can also open and close too, though you do it manually, they don’t flap.
Run Around Gaston Review
This toy works perfectly and is simple fun for your little ones. It’s very durable too, no scratches and all the wings are still attached. The recommended age on this toy is 3+, but I’ve found the kids who have had the most fun with Run Around Gaston have been below that age. My 2 year old daughter, 2 and a half year old nephew and 15 month old niece adore this toy. My nearly 4 year old daughter likes it, but only when she’s playing with the younger children, she won’t really take much notice of it otherwise.
The kids chase it and crawl after it and try and catch it. It keeps them occupied and active and it’s fun to watch them all play together. It’s not really a toy you can get involved with as a parent, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. You can get stuff done while they’re occupied!
One thing to note would be that this toy works fantastically on wooden floors, thin carpets and rugs, but if you have a really thick carpet or rug, it’s not going to work.
When it comes to the price, I think it seems pretty expensive for what it is. I actually didn’t pay full price for it, I paid £4 from a boot sale. I don’t think I would have even looked twice at this toy when it’s full price to be honest.
Asides from the price, I do genuinely think it’s a great toy for little ones to enjoy together if they’re fans of Ben and Holly.
