My youngest has a real love for MY phone, it started as soon as she was old enough to grab. After a few too many close shaves for my phone, my partner came home with baby’s very own phone! Here’s our Vtech Babys First Smartphone review;

Vtech Baby’s First Smartphone looks great. It has 2 screens, one with loads of little “apps” and and another with a little “music player” screen. It’s really colourful and includes the obligatory flashing lights that come on preschool toys.  This toy will be right up your preschoolers street!

Also available in pink and blue in the USA.

Dimensions; 1 x 2.8 x 5.5 inches.

Vtech Babys First Smartphone Review

Hello, hello! It’s learning on the go! That little jingle will get stuck in your head! It’s worth it for the joy it brings to little ones though.  It definitely did the trick when it came to stopping my baby wanting to play with my phone. My youngest and my middle child adore this toy, so much so, I’ve thought about buying another one, but that wouldn’t teach sharing I guess!

The app screen is definitely the favoured screen for my little ones. Even when my youngest was 6 months old she’d press on the apps and listen to all the little sounds and jingles. Her sister has also taught her that the phone goes to the ear so she walks around babbling into the phone. It’s all very cute!

However, the Vtech Baby’s First Smartphone is very quiet. When it’s in demo mode in it’s box, it was an acceptable volume, but as soon as you take the plastic tag out and set it off, the volume decreases dramatically. I’m not sure if this is because the kids have it close to their ears? But I was a bit disappointed as you can hardly hear it unless you’re very, very close to it.

My final thought on the Vtech Baby’s First Smartphone is a good one though! It’s pretty inexpensive when it comes to preschool toys, a nice little addition to the toy box and encourages imagination play as well as having a little educational value too!
